PROJECT BACKGROUND
Bellway Homes is a residential property developer and housebuilder with an impressive housing portfolio spanning across the nation, providing over 120,000 homes.
Located in Tower Hamlets, London, Bootmakers Court is a nine-storey residential development, consisting of 70 properties, which where fully occupied.
SERVICES PROVIDED
Miller Knight were appointed as principal contractor on the scheme, following a survey which identified issues with the Spandrel infill panels fixed in the aluminium curtain walling and lack of horizontal cavity barriers.
Scope of works included:
- Investigation, design, and replacement of 235 Spandrel and glazing panels.
- Installation and remediation of all necessary fire and acoustic barriers.
- Reinstatement works.
To ensure of high quality solutions, visits to the panel supplier factory were undertaken as part of our quality inspections process to review the panels being made to ensure appropriate materials and sizing.
We took on full resident liaison responsibilities to enable access through the apartments and work on resident balconies.
