PROJECT BACKGROUND
MHA Amathea is a residential and dementia care unit with 40 private rooms and en-suites.
The client required refurbishment of the entire facility including communal lounge and dining areas, private bedrooms, reception areas, private en-suites, staff areas, communal assisted bathrooms, corridor, and circulation spaces.
SERVICES PROVIDED
Miller Knight were appointed as principal contractor on the scheme, ensuring the effective co-ordination and management of all trades.
Scope of works included:
- Replacement floor coverings
- Ceramic wall tiling
- Sanitaryware and plumbing installations
- M&E installations
- Decoration
- Joinery
Due to works taking place in a live care facility, there was extensive planning and logistics management with daily liaising and planning with the facility team.
All works completed in the specified time period with minimal disruption to residents who have extra care requirements.
Operatives followed strict COVID-19 protocols and preventative measures on site including daily LFTs.
