Shelley Ford commented: “I am honoured to join the Nottingham Women In Construction committee – this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside other professionals, who are equally passionate in the construction sector.

“After visiting my first NWIC [Nottingham Women In Construction] event in September, I knew I wanted to be part of the team and get involved in something truly worthwhile and give something back.”

Established 20 years ago, Nottingham Women In Construction is a community of women within the local property and construction industry that meet regularly throughout the year hosting a range of events. The network allows women to come together and share their victories as well as challenges to help pave the way for empowerment. The heart of the network is to help individuals grow their network and gain confidence, whilst encouraging the next generation of women into the industry.

Committee member, Jessica Hird from Stat Planning commented: “The NWIC committee are delighted to have Shelley on board; she has already become a vital part of the committee.

“Shelley is a true example of how empowering our events can be – we look forward to her continuing to grow in the development industry through NWIC and a big thank you for all of her hard work so far in helping to organise the Christmas Raffle at the most recent event.”

Miller Knight are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion, actively supporting initiatives that enhance representation and opportunity in the construction industry.

Business Development Director, Wayne Woodland commented: “We are incredibly proud of Shelley in this new opportunity and her passion for fostering growth in our industry.
