PROJECT BACKGROUND

Commerson Estate Management is a property management company that specialises in management company that specialises in managing retirement and independent living property developments across the UK.

Locate in the North West of England, Beechwood, Oakwood, and Larchwood are three residential developments designed for over 60’s assisted retirement living, collectively comprising of 94 properties.

SERVICES PROVIDED

Following surveys that were carried out across all buildings and identified missing and inadequate vertical passive fire protection within the service risers, Miller Knight were appointed as principal contractor on the scheme.

Scope of works incldued:

• Full on-site setup.
• The sealing of all unprotected service penetrations and voids within communal areas and properties.
• Full electronic audit trail.
• Redecoration and reinstatement works.

Works across all three buildings were completed in the agreed period of time and certified with a FIRAS certificate of conformity.

• SENSITIVE WORKING: To minimise disruption and to respect the living environment of residents, we took on full resident liaison responsibilities to enable access through the apartments and work within their properties.
